From the Tiger PAWS Tent Committee – Due to changes in the Health Code, we are no longer able to offer homemade pies baked in non-certified kitchens at the tent during Tulip Festival. Therefore, OCCS families will not be asked to bring pies on the morning of their shift at the tent. The committee has been working hard to find alternative options for dessert. One of these options includes apple and berry blossoms, which are a blossom shaped pastry with fruit filling. These will be served warm with the option to purchase ice cream. Another exciting new option will be stroopwafels, a traditional Dutch waffle cookie with syrup filling. These will be available for purchase as a single serving (2) or in packages of eight. We plan to continue offering scotcheroos at the tent as well. While it is disappointing we can no longer offer homemade pies, we hope these new options will be a great addition to the traditional soups, pig-in-the-blankets, and taverns we will still offer!

Spring Pig Making Nights: We are gearing up to make some pig-in-the-blankets for the Tulip Festival! The sign-up site will open on Monday, April 8^th at 7:00 PM. There are a few different options for shifts, so please read carefully to see what will work for you and your schedule. Each OCCS family is responsible for having one adult participate. Thank you for supporting our school in this way! If you have any questions, please contact Shawndra Kuiken at pskuiken@gmail.com
