Prayer for the UPCI General Board Meeting
The UPCI General Board will meet March 1-3, 2022 at the Renaissance in St, Louis, Missouri. Please pray for the great success of this meeting. The Word of God exhorts us to consistently pray for those in authority: “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour” (I Timothy 2:1-3). Therefore, your prayers for our board leadership and this meeting are essential.
Pray for all UPCI leadership on every level, and petition for God's divine anointing and empowerment to rest upon them. Ask God to help our board leadership to effectively fulfill their leadership and ministerial responsibilities. Pray for God’s knowledge, understanding, and wisdom to flow through them and that He would direct and guide them in all decisions. Intercede that the Lord would greatly impart to them supernatural power and ability. Pray that all the finances and necessary resources would be provided for the work of God. Pray for the will of God to be wrought in every aspect. Consistently pray Spirit-led prayers for all that God desires to accomplish in the UPCI for His glory!

EFFECTUAL AND FERVENT PRAYER
There are important aspects to prayer that make our praying effectual and fervent unto God:
- Prayers that focus to know the Jesus of the scriptures in an intimate way. To know His ways, His character and His resurrection love.
- Prayers to become like Him. Where the Word becomes flesh in our own character and value system.
- Prayers that relationally serve others. That transfers His nature to those we love and are committed to.
- Prayers that focus on reaching the hurting and the lost. Our prayers must mature beyond just our personal needs and our personal self-interest to becoming conduits for God’s presence and to pray through us for others according to His sovereign divine plan.
- Prayers that oppose the kingdom of darkness. We were commanded to occupy until Jesus returns. These are prayers that stand our ground for holiness living. Prayers that stand our ground against immorality and perversion. To exalt the name of Jesus in the face of all evil.
These five prayers make our praying biblically effectual and fervent for kingdom living.
“That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death” (Philippians 3:10).
Effectual fervent praying is growing in the maturity and knowledge of His Word and nature relationally with both Christ and others.
- It’s possible to perfect one area and neglect the others. Effectual fervent praying seeks the balance and heart of God intimately.
- Ultimately our goal is to pray His heart and not a regimented catechism of repetitious praying that Jesus warned us not to do.
- God’s number one goal is to have access to our heart as His throne room for operating on earth.
-
Is there room in your busy schedule and heart for God to operate effectually and fervently as His headquarters throne for His kingdom?
“Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:13).

The World Network of Prayer Presents
24/7 WATCH: A Year-Round Initiative for 24/7 Prayer
As of January 1, 2022, WNOP launched an annual 24/7 prayer and fasting chain worldwide in coordination with our existing “Year of Prayer.” Each week WNOP is posting a prayer focus as daily prayer for the entire week. Also weekly, a video is posted on the WNOP Facebook Page of a prayer leader and/or minister leading in periodic prayer. We encourage your participation by joining in prayer.
Will you commit and join with others throughout the world in united prayer and fasting? Sign up by committing in your heart unto God that you will consistently set aside a day each week to do some prayer and fasting. WNOP also has partnered with those in local churches who are already a part of a current 24-hour prayer chain. All of these hours of consecration are culminating to help provide a complete mass prayer covering over the entire Church body and to help bring greater success in all that we do in Christ! Together, let’s “watch and pray” and behold great and mighty things in the kingdom of God! Let’s prevail over the enemy with victory and declare, “Not on My Watch!”

World Needs:
- Pray for Jesus to come quickly, so His Kingdom will come and His will be done.
- Pray for the Lord to bless the church economy, resolve supply and demand issues, and lower gas prices.
- Pray for the Lord’s will to be done concerning the assault and invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
- Continue to pray the Lord's Kingdom to come and His will be done through this Covid season. As a fourth Covid-19 shot may be recommended in America this fall, public health officials say they are “very carefully” monitoring if Americans would need another vaccine dose, since the fourth dose boosts antibodies but is not likely to prevent Omicron breakthrough infections. Israel and Sweden have both rolled out a fourth dose, Israel being the first to recommend the dose for those over 60, while Sweden recommends the dose for individuals 80 and above.
