Take your German Language Exam in May

Do you need to prove your German language skills for work? For immigration? For school? If you have answered yes to any of those, you have come to the right place. Take your Goethe-Institut language exam A1 & A2 on Saturday, May 11, 2024 in Saskatoon.


SGC is the only accredited Goethe-Institut Examination Centre in Saskatchewan! We offer the German proficiency level A1 & A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

“The Newcomers” coming to Prince Albert

Join us for the documentary screening, panel discussion & reception of “The Newcomers”, with German-Canadian producer/director Theresa Kliem.

The free film screening commemorates the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, which is observed on March 21.

 

March 15, 2024 at 5:30pm in Prince Albert at the John M. Cuelenaere Public Library.

 

This is a collaborative event is hosted/organized by the Prince Albert Multicultural Council, Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan German Council, and the Prince Albert Municipal Cultural Action Plan.

Youth Funding for German-themed projects

Did you know the SGC can help with your youth events in Saskatchewan?

The SGC Youth Funding "Program Mach mit! – Get involved! supports innovative youth projects with a German, Austrian or Swiss component.

SGC member groups as well as other youth groups are eligible for funding, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.


If you plan a book club for young adults, a story time for kids, a language circle or sport project with a German, Austrian or Swiss theme, contact us.

2024 European Parliament Election

On June 9, EU citizens will elect the European Parliament. You can find more information on the procedures and requirements for German citizens abroad explained in the following two documents from the German Consulate General of Germany in Vancouver.

Concordia Brass Band - The Concordia Brass Band is having their weekly practice on Thursday at St. Matthew Church in Sutherland, Saskatoon. They are looking for brass players. More information here.
