Dear Rising Tide Students and Families,


Thanks to the students, staff members, and families who came out on Saturday for the 5K Fun Run and Health Fair! You can see photos below of the community event.


Tonight you can learn about Rising Tide's partnership next year with Cape Cod Community College (4Cs): Aviation Maintenance Technology Pathways Program, designed for students in high school. This event is open to all, and interested students and parents/guardians of rising juniors and seniors should plan to attend the information session via Zoom here at 6:30.


We also hope to see many of you this Wednesday evening for the Spring Art Show, starting at 6:00 p.m.

Upcoming Events

Monday, May 22: Rising Tide will host an information session at 6:30 pm via Zoom with students and families interested in next year's Aviation Maintenance Technology Pathways Program, a partnership with Cape Cod Community College.


Monday, May 22 and Tuesday, May 23: Students in grades 5 and 8 will participate in the Science, Technology & Engineering MCAS test.


Tuesday, May 23: Rising Tide juniors will be visiting the New England Association for College Admission Counseling (NEACAC) College Fair from 8:00 am - 1:30 pm at Bridgewater State University.


Wednesday, May 24: Rising Tide will host Arts Night at 6:00 pm to showcase the work from our second semester art students.


Thursday, May 25: The Rising Tide Special Education Parent Advisory Council (RT-SEPAC) will hold its final virtual meeting of the school year at 7:00 pm. 


Saturday, May 27: There will be a senior trip to Canobie Lake Park.


Monday, May 29: School will be closed in observance of Memorial Day.


Wednesday, May 31: Final day of classes will be held for seniors. There will be a senior parade through the school at 11:20 am.


Thursday, June 1: Grade 7 students will participate in a field trip to Mass Maritime and enjoy a canal walk.


Thursday, June 1: There will be a picnic for seniors at 4:00 pm outdoors at Rising Tide. Graduation rehearsal will follow at 5:00 pm on the field.


Thursday, June 1: Upper School Awards Night will be held on the field at 6:30 pm.


Friday, June 2: The Commencement Ceremony for seniors will be held on the field at Rising Tide at 1:00 pm.


Thursday, June 8: Upper School Civics Night will be held at 6:00 pm. Eleventh-grade students will present to the community the results of their months-long work researching and planning solutions to various contemporary issues facing our local, state, and national communities.


Friday, June 9: Rising Tide will host a Semi-Formal Dance for students in seventh and eighth grades.

Learn About Rising Tide's Aviation Maintenance Technology Pathways Program Tonight

Rising Tide is moving forward with plans for an exciting partnership next year with Cape Cod Community College (4Cs): Aviation Maintenance Technology Pathways Program.

Interested students and parents/guardians of rising juniors and seniors are invited to attend an information session via Zoom here this evening, Monday, May 22 at 6:30 pm.


This two-year program would take place during elective blocks for a student's junior and senior year (or only the senior year, for rising seniors). Students who complete the program would be able to complete the first level of FAA certification while still in high school, and earn credit towards an AAS degree. Students would complete preliminary work at Rising Tide using a state-of-the-art "hyflex" virtual model as well as hands-on training at the Plymouth Municipal Airport hangar with real airplanes. Spring Art Show is This Wednesday at 6:00 pm

Join us this Wednesday, May 24th for an exciting evening celebrating the Arts at Rising Tide! Works and performances from students in grades 5-12 will be showcased beginning at 6:00 pm (doors open at 5:45 pm). Families and friends are welcome!

Return Library Books

All Rising Tide library books are due Friday, June 2. The following Monday, students who have returned all their books will be entered into a drawing for prizes from Scholastic, including posters, pencils, fun erasers, and a limited number of UV pens! On Friday, June 9, invoices will be sent home with students for books that have not been returned. We currently have 468 books checked out; thank you for supporting our efforts to ensure that all students have access to our excellent library books next year!

Upper School Yearbooks are Available for Purchase

The pre-sale of the Upper School Yearbook has ended. Yearbooks can still be purchased for $70 through MySchoolBucks, cash, or check made payable to Rising Tide Charter Public School. Yearbooks will be handed out during lunch on Wednesday for those who have pre-purchased one. Students can also bring in payment on Wednesday to buy a yearbook that day. After Wednesday, students who wish to purchase a yearbook can see Ms. Martz, Yearbook Coordinator, to receive one after payment is made. Rising Tide's sports photos (baseball, softball, and tennis) taken this spring by our professional photographer are available to purchase until Thursday, May 25 at midnight. Fifty percent of the sales will go towards Rising Tide's Athletic Program. All photos ordered can be picked up at the school on May 31. Please click here to review and order photos.

Classics Night

Rising Tide’s Junior Classical League (JCL) hosted its annual Classics Night last Monday.

The Rising Tide community was invited to celebrate the classics and accomplishments of Rising Tide’s JCL and enjoy an ice-cream sundae bar.

Rising Tide's First 5K & Wellness Fair

Families and friends of all ages attended Rising Tide's first 5K Fun Run & Health Fair last Saturday. Thank you to our runners, sponsors, vendors, and volunteers for an amazing event! Runners can find their times and photos at www.mayflowertiming.com. Short sleeve and long sleeve t-shirts are still available to purchase. Email: 5K@risingtide.org to inquire. Special thanks to Ms. Carlucci, Ms. Weekly, and Ms. Kincade for all of the planning and time they put into making this event happen.

Teacher Appreciation Surprise

Mamma Mia's Italian Restaurant in Plymouth surprised our staff last week. In recognition of Teacher Appreciation Week, they delivered pizza for our faculty and staff to enjoy. Thank you, Mamma Mia's!

Breakfast and Lunch at Rising Tide: The state government has extended the eligibility for all students in our breakfast/lunch program for the 2022-2023 school year. This means that all Rising Tide students have access to one free breakfast meal and one free lunch meal each school day. Please note that students still need to walk through the cashier lines for recording purposes and will need their PIN numbers (located on the upper right hand side of their schedules) in order to do so. Rising Tide's breakfast and lunch program is catered by the Plymouth Public Schools. Check out May's lunch menu here and June's lunch menu here.
