Community with a Heart
Our return to EVENTS happened earlier this week when more than 40 local leaders got together to re-acquaint after far too long on Zoom. The event sponsored fully by THE SAN GROUP featured an impressive presentation by them. Closing things off about 1/2 of attendees stopped for a picture holding Ukraine Hearts crafted by Westcoast Home Hardware as part of their fundraising for the people of that country. We thank Kamal and team at The San Group, Annette from the Barclay hotel and Jan from Westcoast Home Hardware.

Speaking of Fundraising for Ukraine
Over the period of one week Brad and his team went all out on the perogies! He even got help from Kathy K. - former owner of Little Bavaria as well as Lynn from Porto Taco! In the end they went through:
200 pounds of cabbage
130 pounds of potatoes
100 pounds of onions
40 liter's of sour cream
44 pounds of rice
20 pounds of bacon
16 liter's of milk
170 pounds of flour
15 pounds of cheddar cheese
66 pounds of ground beef
33 pounds of ground pork
86 pounds of Pete's Mountain Meats Kobassa

And for other numbers: more than 1000 orders, more than 5000 perogies made, more than 2000 cabbage rolls!

And the big number: $16,455.00 for the Ukrainian Red Cross.

On behalf of the Chamber of Commerce we applaud and thank Brad/Kelly and the team at THE STARBOARD GRILL.
