IRCC Prepares for possible impact from Hurricane Ian

It's no secret that Florida experiences the occasional hurricane, but IRCC's amazing staff is always ready to jump into action. IRCC's Residential Maintenance crew has been hard at work, putting up shutters on members' homes, and passing out sand bags, while the landscaping crews prepare any low-lying areas to help water flow, in preparation for possible impact from Hurricane Ian. IRCC cares about our members, and we do our best to ensure they are safe during inclement weather events.

Florida's Space Coast - Great American Defense Communities

Did you know that the Space Coast is one of just five recently named Great American Defense Communities for 2022? According to the April 6 press release from Washington, D.C. –

Florida’s Space Coast, home to Patrick Space Force Base and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, is one of five communities across the country named to the 2022 Class of Great American Defense Communities.

The Association of Defense Communities (ADC) announced the five selected communities in conjunction with USAA, the program’s official sponsor at the Defense Communities National Summit earlier this month. The 2022 class also includes West Valley Partners, Ariz., Tullahoma, Tenn., Antelope Valley, Calif., and Northern Virginia.

“Our military needs America’s defense communities to support them,” ADC President Bob Ross said. “We selected Florida’s Space Coast because they are a region that consistently goes above and beyond to support service members, veterans, and military families living in their community.”

U.S. News & World Report Ranks Melbourne #4 in The 10 Best Places to Retire in the U.S. in 2021-2022:
