Your Wellness Reminder

Joanna Petrides, MBS, Psy.D. from the Departments of Family Medicine and Psychology and chair of the Rowan-Virtua SOM Wellness Committee, shares this month’s tip for improving wellbeing.

Did you know back-to-back meetings drain our brains and makes us less efficient in the long run? With such busy schedules, what can we do about it? New research shows that a 10-minute break between meetings is enough to reduce stress, improve focus, and boost engagement. Next time you schedule a meeting, aim for a 20- or 50-minute block, or start your next meeting 10 minutes after the previous one.

Be sure to check back next month for another wellness reminder.
