OSHA Withdraws Employer COVID-19
Vaccination and Testing Mandate
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has officially withdrawn the Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) that would have mandated larger employers to require their employees to be vaccinated for COVID-19 or be tested weekly and wear face coverings.
This marks the absolute end for the ETS and its potential impact on Michigan manufacturers. However, OSHA also announced its intention to potentially reintroduce a modified ETS at a later date.
MMA will continue to watch OSHA closely and will submit appropriate comments should any future rulemaking process materialize. Contact MMA’s Dave Worthams, at worthams@mimfg.org or 517-487-8511, with your questions and comments regarding COVID-19-related regulations.
