A new musical version of the classic story. Tired of spring cleaning his dismal little home, Mole ventures up into the Wide World, embarking on a series of adventures with his new companions–the clever Rat, wise old Badger, and especially the motorcar-crazed Mr. Toad. From boating to caravanning to the Battle of Toad Hall, they’re adventures that, in the end, still lead back to the home that is always waiting, happy to hear a song sung like willows in the wind…

HOLIDAY IN THE HILLS
Our 16th year of Holiday in the Hills!
Opening This Saturday
By Mike Jimena & Connie Mockenhaupt

The story takes place in the late 1880’s right here on Sutter Street where the residents of the town and surrounding areas have gotten together to celebrate the Holidays. A lot of research went into the people and places that were here in the late 1800’s, give or take a year or two, and everyone you see was an actual resident or visitor to Folsom at that time of year. Come see a show guaranteed to put you in the holiday spirit. One of the most enjoyable shows of the year with dynamic characters and fun music!

December 4 - December 23 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 4:00pm plus 7:00pm performances on December 9, 16, 20, 21, 22, 23!

Your money back if you don't leave the theatre filled with the Holiday Spirit!

To purchase tickets go to https://sutterstreettheatre.com/tickets/ or call (916) 353-1001.

Plot
At the party’s Presidential convention, an ethical man running for the Presidential nomination runs against an “unscrupulous” man. Populist senator Joseph Cantwell is a “bigot and a charlatan”, while William Russell, who prides himself on his honesty, is the liberal candidate, “likable, forceful and humorous.” It’s a race to the finish, but an indecisive run to the finish line results in a brokered convention. Both candidates try to get the endorsement of the popular outgoing president, who enjoys not telling them which one he’ll endorse. The dirt comes out and mud gets thrown, but there is one last hope for someone to come out clean and secure the nomination. Will the “best man” win?
