BIOGRAPHIES
Sandy Choi
Senior Managing Director, Head of Investment Planning, Guggenheim Investments

Ms. Choi joined Guggenheim Investments in 2013 and is the Head of Investment Planning based in Santa Monica where she acts as a strategic advisor to the Office of the Chief Investment Officer, covering the structuring and execution of bespoke investments and implementation of strategic initiatives. She is a board member of Eastdil Secured where she sits on the Audit and Regulatory committees and was a board observer for The SpringHill Company. Ms. Choi is also a member of the Guggenheim Social Justice Initiative and Corporate Social Responsibility Committees. Prior to Guggenheim, Ms. Choi held senior legal and compliance roles at Fortress Investment Group and Tower Research Capital LLC and began her career as a corporate lawyer at Willkie Farr and Gallagher LLP and Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy LLP. Ms. Choi received a B.A. in History, Phi Beta Kappa, from Brown University and a J.D./M.I.A. from Columbia University. She is a recipient of the Fulbright research scholarship.

Shannon Erdmann
Principal, Apollo Global Management Inc.

Ms. Shannon Erdmann joined Apollo in 2020 as a Portfolio Manager focused on security-selection, modeling, surveillance and trading of CMBS and ABS securities. Prior to joining Apollo, Ms. Erdmann was the head of the CMBS and ABS sector team at Guggenheim Partners for 6 years. Prior to Guggenheim, she worked at PIMCO London and Newport Beach for a total of 6.5 years in the structured products and generalist global portfolio management teams. Finally, Shannon started her professional career working as a property and casualty actuary for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company for 3 years. Ms. Erdmann holds a Masters degree in Financial Engineering from UC Berkeley and B.S. in Statistical Science from UC Santa Barbara. Ms. Erdmann has a total of 15 years of financial and insurance related experience.

Heather Lord
Senior Vice President, Head of Strategy & Innovation, Capital Group | American Funds

Heather Lord is a Director at Capital Group responsible for Strategy and Innovation, Sustainability and ESG. She has 16 years of industry experience and has been with Capital Group for five years. Prior to joining Capital, Heather was a senior vice president, strategy & client experience at Charles Schwab. Before that, she worked as a principal at Boston Consulting Group. She holds a PhD in applied statistics and psychology from Yale University and a bachelor's degree in statistics from Cornell University. Heather is based in Los Angeles.

Andre Vessid
Partner, Ernst & Young LLP

As the Wealth and Asset Management Strategy Lead for EY-Parthenon, Andre advises clients on growth, market-entry, coverage model and transformation topics. Before consulting, Andre worked in banking, and at a Fintech start up. He holds a BA from the University of Chicago.

Kim Letch
Private Equity Leader – West Region and Orange County Managing Partner, Ernst & Young LLP

Kim has more than 29 years of public company accounting experience serving a diverse range of regional, national and global clients. She leads the US-West Private Equity Market Sector for EY, is a member of the US-West Assurance Leadership Team and Office Managing Partner. Kim’s efforts are primarily focused on serving Private Equity headquartered in the West and expanding relationships with private quity portfolio companies,and life-science assurance clients based in California. Kim joined EY in Australia in 1992 and transferred to London in 1995 to concentrate on serving global banking and capital markets clients. In 1999, Kim transferred to the United States where she has worked in Chicago, San Diego and Orange County working initially with financial services clients and more recently private equity and life science clients. Over the course of her career Kim has worked with high-growth public, private, private equity portfolio and emerging companies on a variety of transactions, including IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, and international expansion. She is an enthusiastic and engaged leader who thrives on working collaboratively with clients and EY team members to solve problems.
