Round Rock enacts drought restrictions
Following a prolonged period of hot and dry conditions, the City of Round Rock has entered Stage 1 Mandatory Drought Restrictions that enforce a maximum of two outdoor watering days per week for its customers. Watering is allowed on your designated days between midnight to noon or 7 p.m. to midnight only.

Have you ever considered becoming a firefighter but weren't sure where to start? A career in public service can be one of the most rewarding paths for your future, and the Round Rock Fire Department has opened its first ever in-house academy to train the right candidates for the job.

The District developers unveil updated plans
Developers for The District, a 65.5-acre mixed-use project planned for SH 45 just east of IH 35, unveiled proposed changes to the development to the Round Rock City Council on Thursday, June 23. Major design changes include increasing the site’s total square footage and the site’s height and density. 

Fireworks are illegal in Round Rock
Letting freedom ring doesn’t mean compromising the safety of yourself or others. Residents are reminded this Independence Day that the City of Round Rock explicitly prohibits the sale or use of any fireworks. There is also a 5,000-foot fireworks-free zone outside of city limits in Williamson County.

The Williamson County Texas Master Gardener Association, a volunteer organization of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, will feature succulents as the topic of its next free monthly gardening program, Green Thumbs Up. This event will be led by Master Gardener Kaye Davidson.

Yonders Point Friday Fun Nights: Date Night

Enjoy free, themed activities on select Friday nights at Yonders Point, located just southwest of the baseball fields in Old Settlers Park. Our next event will be a relaxing date night, featuring free food and refreshments.

Safely dispose of residential paint and other household chemicals during the monthly Household Hazardous Waste Collection. The event is free for City of Round Rock water utility customers. Please bring your driver’s license and City water bill as proof of residency. We accept only residential waste in quantities of 25 gallons or less.
