2021-2022 Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to the Vessels 2021-2022 Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Tucker! You are a fantastic teacher, and the kids, staff, and community all congratulate you on this significant accomplishment!
Attendance at Vessels

Children must be at school every day. School attendance can predict everything from high school graduation rates to whether a child attends college. Now that the Omicron COVID-19 surge is behind us, please have your child at Vessels every day. Your help makes a difference and ensures that students are learning and growing. Please click here to learn more about why attendance matters in elementary school.
6th Grade Camp

This is a reminder that 6th-grade camp is all this week, Monday, March 7 through Thursday, March 10.

We will leave bright and early tomorrow, so please make sure to be at Vessels no later than 7:20 a.m. Please also don't forget your attestation form, your sleeping bag, and warm clothes!
Culture Committee

Vessels is looking for individuals interested to serve on our first-ever culture committee. We are looking for a collection of parents, teachers, and staff who would like to collaborate on a plan to strengthen and enhance what we do to celebrate diversity and culture at our site. Please email [email protected] if you are interested in helping to make Vessels a better place for our kids and community.
Grades

You can check your child's grades on Aeries beginning March 18. Please check back next week for instructions on how to access grades via the Aeries site.
Internet and Cell Phone Safety

More kids are using cell phones than ever before and are often unequipped to handle the freedoms and/or dangers that cell phone use may cause. It is imperative that parents set guidelines for their usage to ensure kids are safe while protecting them from the harm that may come from unrestricted use of the internet.

I have included some resources below for parents to provide an awareness of children and cell usage. Purchasing a cell phone for a child is a personal family decision, but adopting rules at home may help to protect your child and others from possible harmful effects.
