SAUSD TO ADJUST COVID-19 QUARANTINE REQUIREMENT FOR STUDENTS
SAUSD is reducing to 10 days from 14 days the quarantine requirements, or eliminate the need for quarantining altogether for students who are fully vaccinated and show no symptoms. These changes adhere to the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control, the California Department of Public Health, and the Orange County Health Care Agency. Reducing quarantine days will offer fewer disruptions to learning by allowing students to return to school sooner provided that necessary safety protocols are followed. Click here to read more.

SAUSD ADDING DAILY PLANT-BASED ENTRÉE TO ALL HIGH SCHOOL LUNCH MENUS
The District is now adding a daily plant-based entrée to all SAUSD high school lunch menus. Plant-based options vary daily and can include salads, sandwiches, plant-based nuggets and more. “When it comes to school lunch options in SAUSD, student voices matter the most,” said Josh Goddard, director of Nutrition Services. “Our high school students have been asking for plant-based menu options for some time. We hope to continue to build trust with our students by responding to their preferences and evolving our menus to satisfy their nutritional needs.”

VIDEO OF THE WEEK
SAUSD has been busy upgrading, renovating and adding improvements to schools across the district that provide state-of-the-art learning and nurturing environments for students. This important work could not have been possible without the support of the SAUSD community, who overwhelmingly approved Measure I in 2018. During this season of thanks, SAUSD wishes to thank the community for helping make all of this possible. We also assure you there's more great work to come.
