CHURCH CONFERENCE VOTE

The Trustees, Finance and Administrative Councils have all voted to sell the rental properties owned by the church. A church wide vote is needed to finalize this process. A brief update will be given in the church foyer before taking a yay or nay vote following each service.

FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY
March 6th thru May 1st, 6:00-7:30pm
Planning for the future is hard when you’re still paying for the past! There’s a better way! AUMC is offering a Financial Peace University class, and we’ll learn how to beat debt and make a plan for the future together! Interested? Classes start Sunday, March 6th and meet for 9 weeks. Pastor Joel will be sharing a short devotional with this group. Burritos and coffee will be served. This is an opportunity to meet new people and decompress. The goal is for those not retired, to get back on the road by 8:15, at the latest. A donation of $5 is asked to cover the cost.

Java & Jesus is a gathering for "busy moms" ~ and grammas! ~ who are interested in fellowship and an encouraging Word. We meet Thursday mornings at 10:00am in the Gathering Room (Ed. Bldg). No outside reading required. Nursery childcare is provided! Please contact Trudy Smith if you have questions, or if you plan to attend with kiddos, so we have plenty of nursery workers.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT COOKS
Seeking a few more volunteer cooks to help prepare Wednesday night meals. We currently feed about 25-40 each week. Those who cook do it all…plan the meal, provide the ingredients, prepare it in the church kitchen, and clean up after. You get reimbursed for food cost. It can be a few people or a team. If you are willing to help one Wednesday a month, please Michelle (972-841-8458) or Shannon (817-991-3049) for more information!

ALEDO ISD
Aledo UMC is stepping up to help out our school district. AISD is looking for volunteers from cafeteria to classroom so they can keep the students in school. If you can help for a day, or half a day, please click here to sign up.

SCHOOL PRAYER MINISTRY
The new school year is here! Let's support our local school with prayer. Sign up to pray for a school each week for one month, either in person or by proxy. To pray for the month of March, stop by the Connection Center to sign up for your school.

We have several church members who are no longer able to drive to church. Would you be willing to help a senior church member get to and from worship on Sunday morning? Please sign up at the Connection Center or contact Trudy Smith for more information.
