"Let's Play Outside!" Summer Day Camp at Durham Ferry, for Manteca Unified School District Students in Grades 3-5, Native American 

Do you love the outdoors? Join our Let’s Play Outside day camp at Durham Ferry Outdoor Education Center in Manteca. We will explore the riverbanks of the San Joaquin River, learn about native animals and plants, build confidence, craft and engineer.

Daily Schedule

This camp will be held at Durham Ferry Outdoor Education Center and will run from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM daily. We will spend mornings exploring the outdoors. In the afternoons we will enage in science and engineering activitites.

Lunch Break

There will be a 30-minute lunch break each day.  Lunch will be provided by a local caterer. If your student has specific allergies or dietary restrictions, they can bring their own sack lunch. Refrigeration is available.

What to Bring and Wear

Students should bring a water bottle, hat, and sunglasses.

Students should be prepared for extreme weather and plan accordingly - sunscreen, bug spray, layers of clothing, etc. We request students with long hair to wear their hair up during the camp. 

All Students are required to wear sturdy closed-toed shoes.  

Behavior Issues

This is an enrichment activity and any behavior issues will result in immediate dismissal and removal from the course.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Required docuements will be sent via email to the parent/guardian email listed in the registration.  Each form will need to be filled out, signed, prior to the first day of camp. Please arrive a few minutes early to process all paperwork.

Cancellations: 

Please email kstepping@sjcoe.net two weeks in advance if your student cannot attend the camp.
