Volunteers Needed for Winter & Spring County 4-H Events:
Food Faire - Usually in February or March, the Food Faire is a fun event for all 4-H youth and their parents to learn about food and participate in a cooking or baking contest. For the last two years, due to Covid, we've had a virtual Food Faire video contest. A volunteer is needed to organize a planning team who will decide on the date, location, theme, and contests or, if desired, host an alternative virtual event or contest.
Presentation Day - Usually in March, Presentation Day is an opportunity for
4-H youth to practice their public speaking skills and earn medals. If a youth earns gold, they can advance to regional Presentation Day in April and state Presentation Day in May. If you would like to be on the organizing team for this fun & important event, please email vjzeko@ucanr.edu
Fashion Revue - Usually in spring, and sometimes on the same day as Presentation Day, Fashion Revue gives 4-H youth enrolled in sewing projects the opportunity to have their creations evaluated & modeled in a fashion show. Medals are awarded, and gold recipients can advance to the State Fashion Revue event in May. If you would like to help with this event, please email Rachel McClanahan: rach.mclan@gmail.com

|
Small & Large Animal Field Day - Usually in mid-May; due to Covid, we have not had Animal Field Day since 2019. This is a fun outdoor event for all
4-H'ers - with or without animals. If you would like to help organize this event, please email venturacounty4h@ucanr.edu
