Morningside Students Create Artwork to Reflect Learning about Underground Railroad

Morningside students are recognizing Black History Month with engaging lessons, including one about the story of the Underground Railroad Quilt. Students learned what each part of the quilt meant, which helped guide those taking the path, and then recreated parts of the quilt themselves with colorful drawings. #GGUSDpride

GGUSD Highlights School Resource Officers

GGUSD is tremendously grateful for our School Resource Officers from the Garden Grove Police Department, Westminster Police Department and Santa Ana Police Department! Our SROs dedicate each and every day to keeping our schools safe and make a lasting positive impact on the lives of so many GGUSD students! Garden Park Students Give Back to Community

After donating 1,000 cans to Orange County Rescue Mission, student leaders at Garden Park asked their advisors what else they could do to help. Through fundraising from the sale of holiday grams and kindness grams, Garden Park students raised enough money to purchase student headphones for state testing, donate 300 pairs of socks to community homeless shelters, and gift items to fulfill wish lists that went to patients at Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Way to go Garden Park!
