Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run is coming to our school this spring!

The Girls on the Run program empowers girls to thrive and shine through a series of Social Emotional/Identity Building Lessons while running and exercising! The 10-week program leads up to the girls running a 5K race. If you have interest, we just need your help – and no running experience is needed. Teams consist of 2-3 coaches and 8-16 girls. Coaches will be trained and receive the appropriate curriculum. Right now Ms. Witt and Mr. Lindsay are signed up to coach and if you'd like to coach or even just help out at some of the practices, please let me know!!

Please email me to find out more, [email protected]!

*Practices will be M,W (4-5:30pm) , March 4th-May 17th

*The 5K is on May 17th

We are asking you to help us with making sure our students aren't covering their heads with hoodies or wearing durags to school.

ECE Applications/SchoolChoice

Families applying to enroll in an ECE-3 or ECE-4 program are strongly encouraged to submit a SchoolChoice application during Round 1. Submitting an application during Round 1 of SchoolChoice offers families the best chance of obtaining a seat at their desired preschool program. Round 1 opens at 10 a.m. on Jan. 11 and closes at 4 p.m. on Feb. 12, 2024. Following your DPS SchoolChoice application submitted during Round 1, DPS will reach out to families to provide the next steps for completing an application for funding support through Universal Preschool (UPK) Colorado. Visit the DPS Early Childhood Education (ECE) webpage for more information on how to apply!
