A message to the community from our

President and CEO

Dear friends,

Kern Gives Big! This month has been particularly special for us as we just wrapped up a record-breaking Give Big Kern campaign. This year, we helped raise $965,893 from 3,156 donors for 137 nonprofits. This is a tremendous accomplishment and a testament to the generosity of our community. This is real money that will help nonprofits solve real problems. We are also blessed with wonderful sponsors, including 23ABC, who allow us to run Give Big Kern at no cost to the participants. Together, we are making a real difference. Thank you to everyone who participated in Give Big Kern.

In addition to our successful Give Big Kern campaign, Kern Community Foundation is also finalizing our scholarships for this year. We will support our next generation of college students and help them achieve their dreams. Our team has been hard at work evaluating applications and identifying the most deserving recipients. We are confident that this year's scholarship recipients will go on to achieve great things.

Finally, Bakersfield Youth Jobs Program is gearing up for another exciting summer. This program provides young people in our community with valuable work experience and helps prepare them for future careers. Our partnerships with the City of Bakersfield and local nonprofits have been top notch.

Thank you for your continued support of Kern Community Foundation. Together, we are making a positive impact in our community.
