Carlisle Chamber of Commerce
2023 Presidents Message
Tracy Rector
Sisters Place

As your 2023 President of the Carlisle Chamber of Commerce, I want to take this opportunity to thank your 2022 President, Dr. Matt Wanderscheid with 21st Century Rehab. P.C. for all of the great things that were accomplished with his leadership and the leadership of the 2022 board of directors. We are now moving into our 2023 Chamber year, and as your 2023 Carlisle Chamber President, it is my passion to pull our businesses and community together.
I acquired an Associates Degree of Computer Science at Indian Hills before computers were mainstream as single mother of a 2-year-old. I met my husband, Richard, now of 33 years, while attending Indian Hills and we made our home in Carlisle.
After graduation I gained employment as an IT analyst for Principal Financial Group where I worked for 27 years. I enjoyed the problem solving and unique challenges to overcome every day. We currently have 4 children and 7 grandchildren.
Our son bought Sisters Place, which opened in July of 2020, and I became the general manager 2 years ago. I was definitely out of my element, but again, up for the challenge. It has definitely been a roller coaster ride in this economy to say the least. I am pleased to provide a meeting spot in our community and enjoy coordinating events that showcase our residents’ talents and interests. We host Karaoke, bands, trivia and many other events.
One other endeavor I have taken on is a non-profit for wildlife rehab, “Born to be WILDlife rehabilitation network”. My true passion has always been animals. I started doing wildlife rehabilitation several years ago and started the non-profit, because we are not supported financially, everything is out of our own pocket. I take in orphaned and injured wildlife and release them to wild once they are old enough or they have healed from their injuries
As I mentioned, this year as the President of the Carlisle Chamber of Commerce, it is my passion to pull our businesses and community together.  Each business has a unique clientele and something to offer every resident. As the general manager of Sisters Place, my dream is that we view all food service businesses as an opportunity to keep businesses local. Carlisle has a diverse menu opportunity and showcasing that will only improve the business for all of us. Your 2023 Board of Directors has set their goals for 2023, and one of those is to start up a monthly "Bike Night" on the 3rd Saturday of the month, May through September. Please watch our Facebook page for more information coming soon! (Carlisle Bike Night).
I am honored to serve the Carlisle businesses and community as your 2023 Chamber President this year. My hope is to continue to promote community and local businesses as those are my passions. Please feel free to contact me or any board member to provide feedback as to how we can best serve you and your business, and consider the opportunities available to you as Chamber Members.
Your 2023 Carlisle Chamber of Commerce
President, Tracy Rector
