Many of you may have heard by now that the Rev. Rich Plant, former Associate Association Minister, has been struggling with a diagnosis of cancer. His family has requested additional prayers for him through this difficult journey. Please keep Rich and his family in heart and prayer. 

Seeking Van for Camp Transportation


During the upcoming Little Cuyahoga camps, July 11-15 and July 18-22, we are seeking to rent or borrow a van with 15-20 passenger capacity each day from 9am-3pm. We will be transporting kids from Elizabeth Park in Akron to other local parks and back. If you or your congregation has a vehicle available, or you know someone who does, please contact Rev. Worship Leader, Archwood UCC, Cleveland

Archwood United Church of Christ is looking for a worship leader.

Facilities Manager, Bethany UCC, Cuyahoga Falls

Summary:  Coordinate building/grounds usage by church groups and tenants, including scheduling, building usage agreements, keys, payment, and light room set up. Work with the Property Committee to schedule long-term maintenance, inspections and respond to emergency maintenance. 

Skilled in: Working with the public

                    Understanding basic building maintenance issues

                    Microsoft Office and Excel (for building use contracts and tracking information)

                    Google Calendar (for keeping the master calendar)

Physical Ability: Need to be able to lift up to 25 lbs; set up and take down tables

Working Hours: 8-10 hr per week on site; flexible schedule to meet needs of building use

Salary: $ 8320 per year with vacation time per Staff Policy Handbook.

Chaplain Opportunities at United Church Homes


Chapel Hill Community in Canal Fulton, Ohio is seeking a full-time chaplain.

This United Church Homes Life Plan Community provides a spectrum of services for older adults. The chaplain provides the spiritual care programs to meet the needs of the residents, staff and their families. Leadership of the weekly worship service in the lovely chapel, additional worship experiences for those living with dementia, along with pastoral care, programming and small groups, spiritual assessments and participation on the leadership team are all a part of this ministry.


Four Winds Community in Jackson, Ohio is seeking a part-time chaplain: 32 hours/week with benefits. This community provides care for those needing rehab services, long-term nursing care and memory care. The chaplain works together with the leadership team and provides pastoral services with the residents, staff and their families. Spiritual assessments, pastoral care, small group programming and worship experiences are a part of the needs of this community.

Music Director/Pianist (PT), Clague Road UCC, North Olmsted

Hiring a part-time Music Director, CRUCC is a family style congregation that enjoys a variety of music styles, works to coordinate music, art, faith formation into Sunday worship and the life of the church for adults, children, and youth. Responsibilities include planning services with the minister and worship team leader, directing and accompanying chancel choir, bell choir, hymns, and other music throughout the services.


Aside from Sundays, special holiday services occur throughout the year. The position offers flexibility without a set schedule. A general weekly time commitment necessary to meet expectations will be discussed during interviews.

Musician, St. Paul's Community Church UCC (Cleveland)

St. Paul’s Community Church UCC is seeking a musician with skills in piano and voice to lead worship on Sundays. St. Paul’s is a progressive urban church in the Ohio City neighborhood of Cleveland. Worship is a mix of traditional and contemporary and other styles, and we are seeking a musician with knowledge and interest in diverse musical styles and traditions. Responsibilities would include choosing the music for Sunday in coordination with the Pastor and other musicians, leading a rehearsal once a week, and coordinating with other musicians to provide music for our regular weekly services and occasional special services. Please send resume or any questions to Rev. UCC Webinar — Wartime Threat

Increased Fossil Fuel Production at Home

Wednesday, July 6, 1pm


The fossil fuel industry is using the war in Ukraine to push for ramping up production in the United States. As a result, communities on the frontlines of the industry face the wartime threat of more pollution and more harm to their health. In this webinar, we will learn about the history that shapes the threats faced, and we will hear directly from those fighting at the grassroots to protect their families and communities. Featured speakers will include Roishetta Ozane from Healthy Gulf, Lois Bower-Bjornson from the Clean Air Council, and David J.X. González from the University of California-Berkeley. Hospice of the Western Reserve

Are you looking for a way to help individuals in your community? Consider becoming a Hospice of the Western Reserve Volunteer. Volunteers are needed to serve patients at the Hospice Houses, in their own homes, and area nursing homes/assisted living facilities. There are also many virtual and face-to-face opportunities at the newly reopened Medina Inpatient Unit and at Life’s Treasures Thrift Shop. Other opportunities include Veterans Serving Veterans, Attorney, Notary and Licensed Hairdresser. Virtual training series are held every month for new volunteers. Hospice of the Western Reserve holds Warehouse Sales throughout the year. We are looking for additional items to be donated for our next sale. Items needed include furniture, housewares, domestics, collectables, framed artwork, seasonal items, and fine & costume jewelry. Items are accepted up until two weeks before a sale. The sales are held at Hospice of the Western Reserve Headquarters, 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44110. Proceeds support patients and families of Hospice of the Western Reserve.
