As the end of your program draws closer, now more than ever it is time to Protect the Flock by making sure you stay healthy so you can return to the United States as planned. UD’s Center for Global Programs & Services (CGPS) reminds you to take the following extra precautions now and at least two weeks (14 days) before your planned departure.
Practice smart and healthy hygiene: wear a mask, use your hand sanitizer, avoid crowded spaces, etc. This is especially important in light of the new COVID-19 Variant of Concern (Omicron). The CDC is working with other U.S. and global public health and industry partners to learn more about this variant, and continues to monitor its path. CGPS will continue to monitor the situation very closely and will provide updates and guidance as new information becomes available.
Schedule a COVID-19 test NOW to take three days before going to the airport for your departing flight. The CDC states that all travelers to the United States must show, before boarding a flight, proof of vaccination and a negative COVID-19 test result taken no more than 3 days before travel. It is very important that the test meets the CDC requirements. See the chart below for costs and details.
Continue to check your email for messages from UD and our partners abroad with the most current health and safety guidelines for your return to the U.S. We also encourage you to take responsibility for your personal health and that of our community by staying current with recommendations from the U.S. Department of State, the CDC, and your host country.
