New Year New You

New Year New You.png

Most of us set goals in the new year that'll help us stay fit, healthy, learn a new skill or get  organized. Some to improve our wellness or reduce stress. Whether you believe in making (or keeping) a New Year's resolution or not, the start of a new year is a great time for a new beginning, to start a new chapter and instill new habits that will lead to a healthier, more fulfilling day-to-day life.

The WAWM RCS Department offers a variety of classes to help you achieve your goals for the new year. Do you want to kickstart a plant-based diet, reduce your stress and clear your mind with yoga, learn to salsa dance, or organize your inner packrat: there's something for everyone!

Let the WAWM RCS Department help you on your journey for a new year, new you!

Youth Enrichment

Have you heard of Esports? Wondering what Esports actually is? Esports is electronic competitive video gaming that was first introduced in 1972. Through advancements with online gaming and technology, Esports has grown in popularity. A main reason for the rise in Esports popularity is that it is one of most inclusive opportunities to date, removing boundaries such as age and physical ability enabling all to play.

To address safety concerns surrounding online video gaming and interactions, the WAWM RCS Department has partnered with a company called Mission Control, to host our league. Utilizing Mission Control, we are able to monitor interactions between players and ensure that players are only competing with other registered players from our community.

A huge thank you to all our Esports athletes that participated in our Fall season and congratulations to the league champions, Addison, Roman and Ethan.

The WAWM RCS Department is hosting a Winter/Spring Season which includes Fortnite Solos, Overwatch (3v3), Super Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Clash Royale (2v2). Interested Esports athletes ages 8-17 can register online at wawmrec.com or call our offices during business hours at 414-604-4900. Who’s ready to play?
