Yartzheits

We encourage you to keep us updated on the Yartzheit information of your loved ones. As the Yartzheit date approaches, we will send an e-mail with a reminder and also invite you to join at Sunday morning or weekday evening Minyan, Friday evening and Shabbat morning services to recite Kaddish.  We have also renewed a long time pre-Covid tradition of inviting those observing a Yartzheit during the week to share a group Aliyah on Shabbat morning.

The latest Ohev Players production of Disney Descendants is coming in February! The musical show is based on the very popular movie. It is the story of many of your favorite Disney heroes and villains and their offspring.


Our extremely talented young cast, directed by Michael Schwartz, is very excited to perform this unique show. Please tell your friends and neighbors about it. Bring your children and grandchildren!

Performances will be on Thursday evening February 16th, Saturday evening February 18, as well as 2 daytime shows each on Sunday the 19th and Monday, the 20th (President's Day).

ARE YOU HANDY WITH A HAMMER? Can you help the building committee? We are looking for volunteers to help with minor repairs around the synagogue.


PROGRAMMING COMMITTEE Do you like to organize and help plan programs? Linda Springer, our programming chair, is looking for volunteers to help with programs throughout the year.


SHABBAT GREETERS Are you interested in helping to welcome guests on Friday nights and/or Saturday mornings? We are looking for volunteer ushers to greet people, help visitors and create a warm, welcoming inclusive Ohev experience for guests when they enter our building. You would need to arrive at services approximately 15-20 minutes before they start.


LIVE STREAM Would you like to learn how to operate our Live Stream camera? We are in search of volunteers, tech savvy teens welcome, and you can earn service credit hours! We would train you to operate our Live Stream camera, which is located in our sound room, for services and programs.


ZOOM SUPPORT Do you consider yourself Zoom savvy? If so, would you be willing to assist with minimal zoom tech support during weekday evening minyan and other zoom programs if needed? You would be a host or co-host, admit participants into the meeting and mute those who periodically unmute. Training provided!


KITCHEN HELP Are you looking for a fun social activity? Can you help out in the kitchen with food setup for our newly founded Kiddush Klub, synagogue programs and events? If so, let us know and we will reach out as needed. No experience needed!
