Friday, Feb. 9 is the first soft skill credential day of the winter semester. Building on their work from the fall, students continue to practice and demonstrate their college-ready soft skills with the goal of earning a Soft Skill Credential on the final Credential Day.

The 1st Credential Day is a formal check-in with students about their soft skills before the final Credential Day on March 29.

Soft Skill grades will be posted in PowerSchool after school on the Wednesday before Credential Day.
2nd-year College & Career Seminar

It includes a career exploration project to help students learn about a field of interest. Everything students need to know about the requirements can be found in the syllabus on Blackboard.

Log in today! All seminar assignments are due on April 12, 2024. MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

A Guide to Soft Skill Grades

S = Satisfactory: The student has demonstrated college-ready soft skills and should keep up their efforts as they prepare for college classes.

N = Needs Improvement: One or more soft skills needs work, or the student needs to be more consistent with soft skills in class.

PowerSchool provides info about a student’s soft skill grades. Teacher comments, missing work, and attendance are all recorded there.

Students with Soft Skill concerns after the 1st credential day should schedule a meeting with their BASE advisor to discuss strategies for the rest of the semester.

Family (Parent) Survey

Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the Family Survey for our accreditation process. However, there are many of you that we haven't heard from yet.

As a part of accreditation, we are required to give a short survey and reach a certain level of participation from our parents. The survey is anonymous and will only take 5 - 10 minutes to complete. It is available in English, Spanish, Arabic, and Mandarin Chinese.

(Please note that the survey was not written by WTMC and some questions may not apply to our school. Please do you best to answer those questions.)
2024-2025 Academic Calendar

The WISD and the WTMC Board of Directors have approved next year's academic calendar.

  • A PDF of the calendar can be found in the "Quick Links" list on the WTMC website or by clicking the button below.
WTMC Cell Phone Policy

If you missed our message about the school-wide mobile phone policy, you can see it here.
The Reflection Room

WCC provides a quiet space on the 1st floor of the Student Center for students and staff to reflect, meditate, or pray. The room is for these quiet activities only. There is no talking allowed in the Reflection Room and students should never use it for eating lunch or gathering with friends to socialize. Please be respectful of those that need this space for its intended purpose.
Ready for Winter Weather?

WTMC uses the WCC Alert system to send information about snow days or other emergencies.

Students should log in to the WCC Gateway to be sure they’re signed up to receive notifications.

What should students do if WTMC closes but WCC doesn't?

WTMC and WCC have different things to consider when deciding to cancel classes, and at times, WCC will remain open when WTMC closes. Our advice to students is this,

"Students of all ages make decisions about the safety of driving to school when the weather gets bad. WTMC students come to school from a wide area and should make those decisions based on the conditions where they live. Stay Safe."
