Freshman House Advising Picnic
On Friday, November 5, the MD Class of 2025 enjoyed the Fall Freshman Picnic in Macon, Savannah and Columbus. The class enjoyed lunch and games prior to the official competition. Congratulations to the Grizzly Bear house in Macon, the Sun Bear house in Savannah, and the Panda Bear house in Columbus for winning this year's house competition!

Students with an interest in pediatrics and learning about child injury prevention, health behavior change, communication, and advocacy should consider joining this program. Participants will plan and participate in two Days of Action at their own institution and help plan related events across the country. T4CIP is sponsored by the Center for Injury Research and Policy in Columbus, Ohio, and the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Pediatric Trainees and Council on Injury, Violence, and Poison Prevention. New Associate Dean of Academic Affairs on the Columbus Campus
The School of Medicine is pleased to welcome Elizabeth Waring Rhodes, DMD to the Columbus campus. Dr. Rhodes received her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry at the Medical College of Georgia and completed a fellowship in oral medicine at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Rhodes is a Georgia native and has lived and practiced in the Columbus community for over two years. She is excited to teach in the PBL curriculum and serve MUSM in Academic Affairs.

Welcome Brittany Bell, New Clerkship Supervisor in Macon
The School of Medicine is pleased to welcome Brittany Bell to our Macon campus. Brittany has over 13 years of administrative experience, having served in various roles in education and local government. Before joining MUSM, she was the executive assistant to the dean at Mercer’s Stetson-Hatcher School of Business. Brittany holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and brings a strong skill set and attributes that closely align with Mercer’s values.

The School of Medicine is pleased to welcome Michele (Mickie) Slattery to our campus in Savannah. Mickie has 30 years of EMS medical experience with 24 years as a paramedic in New Jersey. She has experience as a trauma instructor and a student preceptor. She has been married 24 years with two adult children.
