A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Our Lady Queen of Angels School Community,

As members of our school and parish community we reaffirm and express our commitment to our faith and our Catholic identity as we celebrate Catholic Schools Week. We cordially invite you to join us in this special celebration. We begin our festivities on Sunday, January 28 with our school Mass at 8:30 a.m. followed by our Open House and visits to our classrooms.

You can view the schedule of the various events and activities organized and sponsored by our amazing PTO parents following my message. Our Catholic Schools Week culminates on Friday with our celebration of the Eucharist and Special Persons Day. Our children will be inviting that Special Person in their lives to accompany them to Mass and to share part of this special day together. We look forward to welcoming, grandparents, uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters, and all special friends.

LENTON FISH BAKE

The Our Lady Queen of Angels Church Lenten Fish Bake is back! Join us Fridays at 6 p.m. during Lent for dinner and fellowship —2/23, 3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22. Stay tuned for menus and information soon. APPLICATION & REGISTRATION TIMELINE 24/25 SCHOOL YEAR

The deadline to re-enroll your students for the 2024/2025 school year is Tuesday, January 30, 2024. Parents should have received an email with instructions and a link to re-enroll. Please review the information below.

• Re-enrollment for returning families must be completed through FACTS, and the registration fee paid by Tuesday, January 30, 2024. Registration Fees are $400 per student. Additionally, please be prepared to pay the FACTS administration fees of $50 per family and $10 per student. After January 31, a $100 late fee will be assessed through FACTS until February 10, 2024, which will end the re-registration period.
• February 14, 2024 - Financial Aid applications open for the 2024/2025 school year.
• April 14, 2024 - Financial Aid applications close for the 2024/2025 school year.
• May 15, 2024 - Financial Aid award letters sent out by email.

NOT RETURNING?

If you will not be re-enrolling your student for the 2024/2025 school year, please email Marisa Villamor at [email protected] by Wednesday, January 31 with your student(s) name, current grade, and reason for leaving OLQA (moving, financial, etc.).

LOGGING YOUR VOLUNTEER HOURS

Now is a good time to check on your progress in fulfilling your family commitment of 25 volunteer hours. 

Please report your hours via your FACTS Family Portal. Here are the instructions:

• Visit your FACTS Family Portal HERE
• Scroll down to Family and in the center you will see Service Hours 
• Press add to add your hours, date, description 
• No verification needed

Families will billed through FACTS for any portion of the 25 hours that are not fulfilled by May 15, 2023 in the amount of $20 per hour. If you have any questions, please contact Susan Earlabaugh, PTO VP Volunteers.
