Mixed Market News Continues into 2023
The new year has begun. There are some who say the first ten trading days of the year provide a glimpse of what we might see in the year ahead. Well, in the interest of finding hope where we can, the first 10 trading days of the year were indeed positive. There is some reason for cautious optimism as we watch employment, inflation and interest rates. There are still risks in front of us economically and politically. We will continue to watch for these risks and make allocation decisions based on current valuations we have across various asset classes, as well as the uncertain economic conditions that are in our path.
In the meantime, we will continue to monitor outcomes. There is a lengthier 2023 Outlook from our Chief Investment Officer and other colleagues from Commonwealth. If you would like a copy of it please drop us a line and we would be happy to forward on to you.

Warmly,

Will

Will's List of 10

Top ten things about being a
father to only daughters:

  1. I can do a dance party and not get laughed at.
  2. They demand that I have my own bathroom.
  3. I have had eager yeses to every date for Father/daughter dances (much better than when I was on my own).
  4. The house always smells good.
  5. They think I am strong when I take care of spiders.
  6. I hear singing way more than I hear yelling.
  7. They remind me that they love me even if I have way too much of a 20th century vibe.
  8. They taught me how to be gentle.
  9. I can still beat them in basketball.
  10. They love being around their mom.
Kurt finds January a month to get through...and that's about all

It’s January, not my favorite time of year, but we always get through it. Unfortunately, I’m relegated to doing exercise indoors, like my treadmill or stationary bike. I know there are things you can do outside, but frankly, as I age, I’m a wimp when it comes to the temperatures. As I type this, we are expecting more overnight snow, approximately 3-6”, which makes the morning commute interesting.
I don’t have to tell most of you folks about it,
you live it too!
Meet Heidi’s dog, Annie
Annie is 14 years old and has given our family so much joy. Annie participates in all of our outdoor activities. Unfortunately, she has Cushing’s Disease and doesn’t keep up as well as she used to. We usually end up carrying her
when she tires out!
We don’t have too much more time with her and are grateful for her presence in our lives.
