Strong Words
It happened at the market not long ago; I know, for I was there.

A very young child, enchanted by the goodies, wandered too far.
Suddenly a cry!
The answer was quick in coming, but already there were tears.
I heard the mother’s words of comfort:
“You know I wouldn’t leave you; you’re my boy!”

Great words, strong words to set a child’s world right again.

But where can find words in the eclipses and blackouts of despair?
Are there words big enough to match my human cry?

“Take heart, my son, your sins are forgiven.”
God’s answer in the darkness, big enough and strong enough for me.

When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. Colossians 2:13-15

LEC 2021 Starts Sunday!
LEC IS THIS WEEKEND!

LEC APP
We have a designated LEC App this year! Please go to your preferred app store and search for Lutheran Educators Conference. You will know you have the right one when you see the LIMITLESS logo! Please download the app in advance of the conference and enable push notifications as this will be a key communication tool for conference highlights and any changes or updates!

HOTEL CHECK-IN
Just a reminder that hotel check-in is not guaranteed until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. If your room isn’t ready when you arrive, please be gracious to the hotel staff and let them text you when your room is ready. They will be doing the best they can for you so let us do the best we can for them and treat them with the dignity and respect that God would have us show them. That understood, you may want to come dressed for worship as you may not be checked into your room in time to change.

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION
Each school should designate one person to pick up the envelope with your school’s name badges at the LEC Registration at the South Counter on the conference area of the hotel. Please be sure all staff know who your contact person is so that they will be able to get badges from that designated person (who might be you) and not ask for them at the registration counter. Badges should be worn at all times for proper identification as a paid attendeeIf your school is sending more than 30 staff members, you may pick up your name badges individually at the South Counter.

Head Lice Resources
We have been given some helpful information on the subject of head lice that we were asked to share with our educators. Facts of Lice is a very informative page on this subject. Also, Checking Your Children explains how to perform home head lice check that you may want to share with parents or keep on file just in case. You can find the Spanish versions here: Facts of Lice - Spanish and here: Checking Your Children - Spanish. We hope this is helpful information for you!
