Lee College students, administrators and members of the Lee College Board of Regents converged in Austin on Thursday, Jan. 26 for Community College Day at the Capitol. Hosted by the Texas Association of Community Colleges during every Legislative Session, the event allows community college students the opportunity to directly engage with their state senators and local representatives. Students heard from higher education leaders, interacted with State Leadership and learned how to effectively advocate for education.

Fluke Corp. has donated 75 tools to the Lee College instrumentation program in honor of long-time Fluke engineer Bob Greenberg, who passed away in February 2022. Greenberg, who was considered the “Godfather of Clamp Meters,” served as the product planner for clamp meters as well as the 50 Series Digital Thermometer. 
As part of Black History Month, the PAC is featuring Ryan & Ryan, a father and son dueling piano show at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 17. Ryan & Ryan draws upon classic and contemporary music to create enthralling concert experiences. From Rachmaninoff to Gershwin to Billy Joel, Donald and Barron Ryan combine their talents to create a dazzling blend of old and new schools. There will be a talkback artist session at 6:30 p.m. that evening to participate in a moderated discussion about Ryan & Ryan's work.
