Dear Church,

On Sunday we heard about the state of our church from Leadership Board Chair, Ewell Lawson.

He reviewed our mission- to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world, and our vision- to be a neighborhood church where you (where anyone can) make a difference. Ewell also presented our core values.

Here at Fairview we are relational, faithful, inclusive, genuine, and service-oriented.

These three things--our mission, our vision, and our core values--are what guide us and inspire our direction.

When planning events, when deciding on curriculum, in our meetings and small groups, we remember our mission, our vision, our core values. Our mission, vision, and core values point us in the right direction, they give us purpose and resolve. They remind us who we are and whose we are.

How might we better live out our mission, vision, and core values? Please prayerfully consider this question.

And don't forget to read Psalm 27 at least once a day this week!

Sunday Worship

Clothing Drive for Men's Clothing

A BIG thank you to everyone who donated during the Clothing Drive for the folks being released from the Boonville Correctional Center.

Our vision at Fairview is to be a neighborhood church where anyone can make a difference. In keeping with that vision we put the clothing drive information on our sign to let the neighborhood know how to help.

Simply because of the sign two people from the neighborhood dropped off clothing this week that otherwise have no connection to our church community.

Fairview at Tiger Bounce

Don't forget! This Saturday, February 4th from 8-10 AM we'll be bouncing at Tiger Bounce!

Join us that morning for fellowship and fun. For those two hours we'll have the place to ourselves.

It's just $5 a kid, adults are free.

Invite your friends and neighbors and don't forget your socks!

Tiger Bounce is designed for kids 12 and under.

Float Your Boat

This year we are going to enter a boat in the Float your Boat event supporting the Food Bank.

Lenten Devotional Emails

Beginning February 22nd we'll send Lenten Devotional emails every day until Easter Sunday.

Our theme this year is Seeking: Honest Questions for Deeper Faith.

Each email will include a question and a prayer. We will also have sets of devotional cards available if you prefer.

Fairview Children's Choir

Calling all kids!

We practice Sunday mornings at 9:30 in the sanctuary.

Pancake Feed Sun, Feb. 19

Join us in the Fellowship and Activity Center (the gym) after our 10 AM worship service for pancakes- Sunday, February 19, 2023 around 11 AM.

Traditionally people would fast from certain foods during the season of Lent including meat, fat, eggs, and milk. Not wanting to let these foods go to waste, families would have a feast before the season of Lent began (on Ash Wednesday).

In that tradition, we’ll share fellowship and a meal of pancakes the Sunday before Lent begins- Transfiguration Sunday.



Invite family, friends, neighbors to worship with us on the 19th and stay for a delicious meal and great conversation!

Ash Wednesday

We'll observe Ash Wednesday on Wednesday, February 22nd at 6:00 PM.

This will be a short service of repentance and confession lasting about 30 minutes.

Children's Church



Children's Church is offered during our 10 AM Sunday worship service for those in fifth grade and younger.

Children can stay with their adult(s) in the sanctuary or join our Directory of Children's Ministry Abby and her Safe Gatherings Certified assistants to learn about the scripture we will focus on as a church that week. They will do crafts, have games, a snack, gym/outdoor time and fellowship.

Join us for Bible Study Sundays at 9:00 AM in the Pastor's Study.

The Small Group for Moms with Kids in Elementary School and younger will meet this Sunday, February 5th at 7 PM in the Narthex.

We're reading Liturgy of the Ordinary: Sacred Practices in Everyday Life by Tish Harrison Warren.

Our aim is to meet every other Sunday evening.
