First-ever SPAAR Connect provided member opportunities
SPAAR members from committees and specialty groups came together on October 14 to highlight their respective area and seek involvement from other interested members. In addition, many committees offered incentives ranging from gift cards to promotional marketing videos and other fun prizes.

Sensible Housing Ballot Committee Town Hall
Take this opportunity to learn more about the rent control questions on the November ballot in both Minneapolis and St. Paul. Tune in on Thursday, October 21, at 10am for the (virtual) Realtor® Rent Control Town Hall to learn more about the impacts these policies could have on the industry if passed by voters on November 2.

Together, with MN Multi Housing Association (MHA), the Sensible Housing Ballot Committee will explain both ballot questions (Question 1 on the ballot in St. Paul and Question 3 in Minneapolis), talk about the campaign and the historic coalition to encourage people to Vote No.

What: Virtual Town Hall on rent control for Realtor® members
When: Thursday, October 21, at 10am
Why: Housing affordability is a problem, but rent control is the wrong solution. Vote No on November 2.

Learn why being C2EX endorsed by November 1 is a benefit
SPAAR has a C2EX member incentive worth the time and effort! Become endorsed in NAR's Commitment to Excellence (C2EX) program on or before November 1, 2021, and your name will be entered into a drawing: Five lucky members will receive the SPAAR local annual dues portion of their membership for 2022 paid on their behalf!

Already C2EX endorsed? We’ve got you covered! Your name will be entered retroactively. A chance to be one of five lucky members….and a great professional development opportunity.

Members choose their own pace to complete C2EX endorsement (the average is about 10 hours from start to finish). By demonstrating knowledge and enhancing skills in 10 aspects of professionalism---along with experiences and resources to enhance each member's individual skillset---members can proudly share they are C2EX endorsed, another level of commitment as a Realtor®.

Learn more about NAR's C2EX program here and its incentive offering. This incentive is made possible thanks to SPAAR's Professionalism Committee. Additional questions? Contact Sheri Richards, SPAAR's staff liaison to the Professionalism Committee.
