Foodnet Meals on Wheels & Friends

Led by Executive Director Jessica Gosa, and supported by the Tompkins County Office for the Aging, Foodnet delivers over 700 meals to 400 individuals daily - and has provided some of the most critical human services to our community throughout the pandemic.

Come hear a recap of Foodnet's Mac n' Cheese Crawl as well as inspiring reflections from their Board of Directors, sponsors and volunteers highlighting the organization's work in Tompkins County.

Celebrating Manufacturing Day

The April 2021 Networking at Noon will be focused on Manufacturing and High-Tech Industry Insights, hosted by TST BOCES, Tompkins Workforce, Cortland Workforce and Ithaca Area Economic Development. Join the Chamber and our panelists, who will be highlighting some successes from 2020 and sharing information on the upcoming Manufacturing Day 2021.

OJT Grants Available
The Chamber has On-the-Job Training Grant opportunities through a United States Department of Labor funding award to the Healthy Workforce Consortium. This funding is intended to support people in recovery receiving educational and training supports, new job opportunities, and maintaining a recovery friendly workforce and employer base in Tompkins County. Learn more about becoming a recovery friendly employer and receiving grant funding for your training needs!
The April program will focus on Supporting Youth in Crazy Times and features Mindy Gardner from the Cortland YWCA & Leslyn McBean-Clairborne from GIAC – Greater Ithaca Activities Center. The session will be moderated by Ever Stokes from the Ithaca Youth Bureau and will feature a mini-leadership lesson that can be used with youth or adults.

Serendipity Backlot Reopens April 1st for 2021 Season

Located on the south lawn of South Hill Busines Campus at 950 Danby Rd, Ithaca, NY, The Backlot is an outdoor restaurant featuring socially distanced tables and seating, as well as offers an online ordering menu and payment for contact-less transactions.

Cinemapolis Offers "Office Movie Party" package to Chamber Members

The “Office Movie Party” package will be a special offer for the 4 pm and 5:30 pm showtimes on Thursdays and Fridays.

Businesses can bring up to 15 people for a private movie party for $300, which includes the rental of the theater and a small popcorn and small drink for each guest. Extra concessions can be ordered at an additional cost.

All other requirements for Private Movie Parties apply:
  • Use of theater space for up to 2.5 hours (additional charges apply for longer films)
  • Provide a Blu-ray or DVD (or select one from our library) at least 48 hours prior to the event
  • Pre-order all concessions items at least 24 hours prior to the event
  • All guests wear face masks until seated in the auditorium

New Citizen Public Health Leader Program Available; Developed in Collaboration with Cornell University

Enroll now to become an NYS Citizen Public Health Leader. To continue the fight against COVID and prepare for the next public health emergency, the State announced the launch of a free, online Citizen Public Health Training course for New Yorkers. This innovative course, delivered by the New York State Department of Health in partnership with Cornell University and supported by the State University of New York, will prepare and equip New Yorkers to become NYS Citizen Public Health Leaders and build an informed network of community health leaders across the state. NEW: The U.S. Small Business Administration launched the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG) application portal in anticipation of opening applications for the much-anticipated critical economic relief program on Thursday, April 8, 2021.
