In the fifteenth year of the collaboration between Wilton Library and Wilton Historical Society, the scholarly lecture series focuses on the theme, “Tycoons: Bane or Benefactors?” Held virtually on Sunday afternoons from 4 to 5pm, every session requires a separate registration.

Writing a Legacy Letter (Zoom)

This Zoom workshop teaches you how to write your own legacy letter. A legacy letter (also called an “ethical will”) is a written document that allows you to share your life lessons, express your values and transmit your blessings to future generations. Writing one is a rewarding experience that creates an enduring gift for family and friends. This introductory workshop led by Jay Sherwin of the Life Reflections Project includes discussion and writing exercises and offers a model structure to help you draft your own legacy letter. The Modern American Novel with Mark Schenker (Zoom)
Thursdays, February 24 and March 3, 17, 24 & 31 @7pm via ZOOM REGISTER HERE
Mark Schenker of Yale College returns via Zoom to give five lectures on American fiction in the first decades of the 20th century. He will consider the changing nature of the novel as an art form, the rise of modernism, the influence of the First World War, and the ways in which American fiction of the period resembles and differs from English novels of the same era. Here are the novels for each week:
