*NEW* Alamo STEM Ecosystem Educator Conference

The Alamo STEM Ecosystem Professional Development Conference is an annual event for San Antonio-area teachers and pre-service teachers. San Antonio is a city rich in STEM-related organizations which provide innovative and relevant resources for teachers. The conference goal is to provide access to and information about these innovative resources through a free, one-day conference specifically for teachers at all career stages. The Alamo STEM Ecosystem is pleased to announce the 2022 Conference will be in-person, hosted by the San Antonio Museum of Science and Technology (SAMSAT), with an online live presentation and attendance option. Call for proposals due February 4.

*NEW* Gulf of Mexico Bay-Watershed Education Funding Opportunity

The NOAA Fisheries Southeast Regional Office is now seeking applications to the FY22 Gulf of Mexico Bay-Watershed Education and Training (Gulf B-WET) competition. The Gulf B-WET program is an environmental education program that promotes place-based experiential learning for K–12 students and related professional development for teachers in the five Gulf states. Projects supported by this funding opportunity will develop and promote Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences (MWEEs). The MWEE is a learner-centered framework that focuses on investigations into local environmental issues, leads to informed action, and increases environmental literacy. New for FY22, Gulf B-WET projects may target teachers and students in the entirety of all five Gulf states. This is a change from previous years in which target audiences were required to be within Gulf coastal communities only.

The Spark of STEM (SoS) Coffee Break Series – presented by AstraZeneca – is an online series for educators designed to inspire and equip teachers with innovative STEM learning tools.
