YOUTH-LED FUN & GAMES

A Morning Hosted by SJC Youth

Sunday, January 21, 9-11AM

Thaxter Hall Upstairs

This Sunday, children will be welcomed to Thaxter Hall from 9-11 to engage with the Youth Group members in a ‘fun and games’ time, including lego building, arts and crafts, games, activities, and snacks!

**Youth please note that this will take the place of our Service Sunday on 1/28. Click here to see the updated google form.

PLAY ROOM / NURSERY

This Sunday, the Play Room / Nursery will be attended by Nina and Ella to welcome our youngest to the familiar room and play space downstairs.

CHERUB CHOIR

Time change for Sunday 1/21

Cherub Choir rehearsal will happen in the midst of our morning program, starting around 10:00 in the Choir room, so that when we all come back into the service at the time of the Peace, we will be done with everything. Given that the service starts later, this will allow the morning to wrap up in a similar time frame and not extend out much later than usual!

SNACKS!!

We will be providing some yummy and healthy snacks for our Sunday morning hang out. We would gladly accept any special homemade treats or additions to our snack table that morning. Thank you!

TIME CAPSULE

We will offer space on Sunday for children to create and finish their time capsule submissions. During the Annual Meeting, children will be invited into the sanctuary to help bless the time capsule together.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us:

Allison Dudas, Dir of Youth Ministries

This Diocesan event is open to anyone who is interested, even though the hope is to draw in Youth, Youth Leadership and Volunteers, and Families. You can see the trailer here. We'd love to know if you're interested... the event is this week!

A Case for Love

RSVP

A Case for Love is a documentary inspired by Bishop Michael Curry's sermon on "The Power of Love," that explores whether unselfish love can heal societal divisions in the U.S. Through interviews and diverse stories, viewers are prompted to form their verdict on the matter. The Episcopal Diocese of Maine and New Hampshire have rented a theatre in Newington, NH that seats 50 people for a 4PM showing. This event is FREE for youth and adult youth volunteers, who will also meet after the film for a reception to eat pizza and debrief the film at St. John's in Portsmouth. Everyone else who wants to come is invited to contribute to the ticket cost of $21.00.

If you're interested you may RSVP, and please let Ally know!
