President's Message
“Stick with Love, Hate is too great of a burden to bear.” - Martin Luther King, Jr.

February includes celebrations and reflections for Lunar New Year, Valentine’s Day and Black History Month. Philanthropy permeates through these observances, spreading love and awareness of humanity. Love of mankind can be one of the most powerful feelings we get to experience.

As fundraising professionals, we know better than anyone that giving gifts of “time, talent and treasure” help make life better for other people, animals and the environment. We also know the challenges that face our communities, and how to come together to solve those challenges, positioning to offer solutions.

One way our chapter invites you to be a problem-solver is engaging with one (or more!) of our board committees. Several opportunities will be available later this month that will offer ways you can help make an impact, all while meeting new contacts and engaging with your fellow AFP members and colleagues. Please look forward to the committee sign up coming soon!

With love and gratitude,
Christina Moore-Salinas, CFRE
President, Greater Dallas Chapter AFP

"Engaging Your Board"
ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS
The best boards are those that add significant value to their organizations and help take their mission to new heights. Successful boards engage in future-thinking issues and processes centered on the work of the organization and those who the mission benefits. Increase the synergy between all your board members by prioritizing the board member experience and striking a balance of fiduciary, strategic and generative conversations to elevate mission impact.
