Stallions in the Spotlight

Rising juniors Lily Hartman and Lucy Wills represented SFD at the Hoby Leadership Seminar at Marietta College last week. We look forward to hearing some of the new ideas they learned during this leadership conference.

Last Wednesday members of our SFD family kicked off their 10-day trip to Berlin, Krakow, Prague, and Budapest. Safe travels, Stallions!

Summer Reading

All students are required to read one of the Summer Reading selections by the first day of school. Students - Please choose one book to read from your class list. Each work contains a hyperlink to a summary from Goodreads.com to help you in your selection.

Summer Assignments for AP Classes

Students in an Advanced Placement class are required to complete additional summer assignments. This includes English, World Languages, Science, Computer Science, Math, Art, and Social Studies.

Class of 2023 Prestige Portraits at SFD

Class of 2023 and Parents - We are partnering with Prestige Portraits to offer senior pictures to be taken on our school's campus. You should have received a packet in the mail containing appointment information. Sessions will be available June 21 and June 22 in the SFD Cafeteria.

There are several options available -- from an entire session (indoor and/or outdoor) or just your senior headshot for the yearbook. The senior headshot is free of charge; all seniors must take a headshot with Prestige Portraits to be included in the senior class composite and yearbook.

If you cannot attend a session on June 21 or 22, we will offer sessions on August 1 and 2 at the school. If these summer dates do not work in your schedule, Prestige Portraits will come to our school in November to take headshots for those who still need them taken.

Please note: The photo will be take on a Blue background; just head and shoulders. Young men must wear shirt and tie, no facial hair, no earrings and no visible tattoos. Sweater and jacket are ok as well. Young ladies must have shoulders covered and no visible tattoos.

St. Francis DeSales High School Shutterfly Site

Our school's Shutterfly site is https://stfrancisdesaleshs.shutterfly.com. The events that Lifetouch Photography take pictures at like dances, graduation, etc., will be uploaded to this site. Parents are able to view and purchase these photos. The site password is STFRANCIS22.

Nurse's Notes

CLASS OF 2023 PARENTS AND STUDENTS:

*All rising seniors are required to submit verification of a second dose of the MCV4 (meningococcal) vaccine prior to the start of their senior year. It is a requirement for all incoming seniors in Ohio. Families can email the verification information to school nurse Kelli Fitzpatrick at fitzpatrick@desales.co, have the pediatrician fax a copy to the school at (614) 265- 3375, or bring in a hard copy.
