A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

I send you greetings from the beautiful and serene Camp Cedar Crest. I am learning what a unique and privileged learning experience this is for our 6th grade students and teachers. Our students have been enjoying nature hikes, participating in interactive lessons on science and the environment, and making new friendships with students from other Catholic schools. I have been very impressed with the qualified, professional, and engaging staff here at Camp Cedar Crest. We have seen our students demonstrating respect and consideration during their activities and during our shared meals.

As the OLQA principal I am very proud of our students, our faculty and staff, and our families. We truly work in dedicated partnership to meet our school mission: to empower and inspire our students through faith, knowledge, and service.

AFTER-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT CLASSES 

CLICK HERE to register for Winter After-school Enrichment classes, including art, game club, movie-making, STEM and study-coaching classes. Classes will be offered from January 22 to March 18 (except there will be no classes the week of February 12).

FATHER DAUGHTER DANCE

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. to avoid lines for the opportunity drawing.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS FREE THROW CONTEST

Boys and girls who are 9-14 years of age (as of January 1, 2024) are invited to come out for the Annual Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest after school on Wednesday, January 24 at 3 p.m. at the outdoor basketball hoops.

Email [email protected] with areas you'd like to get involved with, such as supporting the silent auction, marketing, vendors, wine wall, opportunity drawing, class projects, volunteers at the event, and decorations. You'll get volunteer hours and meet new OLQA friends.

APPLICATION & REGISTRATION TIMELINE 24/25 SCHOOL YEAR

It is time to re-enroll your students for the 2024/2025 school year. Last week you should have received an email with instructions and a link to re-enroll. Please review the information below.

• Re-enrollment for returning families must be completed through FACTS, and the registration fee paid by Tuesday, January 30, 2024. Registration Fees are $400 per student. Additionally, please be prepared to pay the FACTS administration fees of $50 per family and $10 per student. After January 31, a $100 late fee will be assessed through FACTS until February 10, 2024, which will end the re-registration period.
• February 14, 2024 - Financial Aid applications open for the 2024/2025 school year.
• April 14, 2024 - Financial Aid applications close for the 2024/2025 school year.
• May 15, 2024 - Financial Aid award letters sent out by email.

NOT RETURNING?

If you will not be re-enrolling your student for the 2024/2025 school year, please email Marisa Villamor at [email protected] by Tuesday, January 31 with your student(s) name, current grade, and reason for leaving OLQA (moving, financial, etc.).

Now is a good time to check on your progress in fulfilling your family commitment of 25 volunteer hours. 

Please report your hours via your FACTS Family Portal. Here are the instructions:

• Visit your FACTS Family Portal HERE
• Scroll down to Family and in the center you will see Service Hours 
• Press add to add your hours, date, description 
• No verification needed

Families will billed through FACTS for any portion of the 25 hours that are not fulfilled by May 15, 2023 in the amount of $20 per hour. If you have any questions, please contact Susan Earlabaugh, PTO VP Volunteers.
