Pleiger Plastics manufactures high performance polyurethane materials that result in a high quality squeegee, a longer wear life and increased productivity.

Durometer:
As durometer (hardness) increases, solvent, abrasion, and chemical resistance increase. Available durometers 50 – 90 Shore A

Harder durometers decrease ink deposit and reduces the ability of the squeegee to conform to a substrate, requiring more exact setups. Increase durometer as mesh count and screen tension increase. Softer durometers print heavier / thicker deposits, conform more readily to open mesh counts and thicker diameter threads and overall stencil thickness, produce less image definition.

Profile:
Creates the hydraulic pressure for ink deposit and substrate conformance, in conjunction with press conditions. Straight edge profiles are most commonly used in textile printing and bevels are used to conform to uneven substrates such as bottles or containers.

Material:
Plei-Tech 22
• Standard Grade Polyurethane
• Color coded for durometer
• Good abrasion resistance, sharp edge retention
• Good solvent resistance, minimal swelling
• Great for use with Plastisol, water based and less aggressive UV and solvent based inks

Plei-Tech 15 (Vulkollan)
• Premium Grade Polyurethane
• Amber (Not color stable, will darken when exposed to UV light)
• Superior abrasion resistance, sharp edge retention
• Superior solvent resistance, exhibits the least amount of swelling
• Great for use with UV, epoxy, enamel, vinyl and other aggressive solvent based inks
