Theme Song: I Surrender All (Lift Up Your Hearts #739)

End of day arrangements:

Please make your end of day arrangements before the school day begins. If your child needs to ride a different bus or go home with another family, give a written note to your child to show their teacher and the bus driver. Any messages relayed through the office must come in before 2:00 recess. We cannot interrupt class time for last minute changes.

Job openings for 2024-25 school year:

OCCS is looking to hire a full-time and a part-time custodian for the 2024-2025 school year. We are looking to fill the position before this school year ends to help with the transition over the summer months. Please send a resume and completed application to the office or you may email it to Jason Alons, jalons@orangecitychristian.net.

OCCS Marching Band Fundraiser:

The OCCS Tiger Marching Band is doing a Pampered Chef fundraiser to raise money for their trip to Pella in May. The party is open through January 24. Please contact a band member for details or you can place your order online here. Thank you for your support!

Appropriate Clothing for the weather:

Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the day's weather. Children are required to go outside for recess. Students should have a warm coat, gloves/mittens and something to cover their head. A sweatshirt does not qualify for winter outerwear.

Snow pants are required for younger students in grades K-5 once the snow flies, but snowpants can be worn to keep your child warm even without snow. All students must have appropriate snow boots. Boots are required when the “Boot Sign” is posted by Mr. Kroese’s janitor’s closet. If the temps are in the 50’s students are required to wear long sleeves, 60’s short sleeves. If the temps are below 50, students are required to have an extra layer to wear. If the temperatures are above 0, students will go out for recess, and be required to wait outside in the mornings until the bell rings. Remember that the temps forecasted for the day are not the temps at our morning recess time. Please make sure your child comes with appropriate layers.
