Foundation of Friends
Our library is a community hub. It connects people to information and more importantly, people to people. The library is a space where it's safe to work, safe to think, and a place to learn and to better understand our community.
sustainability of our library. They realize that smart communities are essential to the quality of life and the promotion of our local economy.
The role of the Foundation of Friends is to strengthen ties with our community leaders and elected officials, to increase the number of Indian Valley residents that are engaged in the library activities and to work with our schools to supplement the educational programs.
We need people to care about the Library, to introduce their friends to the Library, to help with our fundraising events, to emphasize the Library’s importance to the municipal leaders, and provide financial support.
As Helen Keller said, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much”.

If you have not made your gift to the Annual Fund this year, let me give you a few things to ponder.
Over the last month and a half, I have seen the kindness and generosity of members of this community in action.
Youstepped up and helped us assist Keystone Opportunity Centerin their holiday gift card drive. We raised $300 in Visa gift cards for local families in need.
I have seen gifts pour in from the Annual Appeal since it was mailed about a month and a half ago. Over 600 of you have donated so far and — I'm still getting them!
But we are only just getting started. The Annual Appeal runs for a year and this one has only just begun. The 2020-21 Annual Appeal brought in over 1,000 donors.
So, if your situation permits, I ask you to consider supporting this year's campaign.
Every gift - no matter the amount -directly supports the daily operations of IVPL. Your support allows us to bring you the services and resources that this library has provided to the Indian Valley for decades.
Please feel to contact me if you have any questions about supporting the library. I am happy to assist in any way that I can.

Elizabethan England is a time of superstition and strange goings on. If you have a problem, it's common to go to a witch for help. And Queen Elizabeth I is no different...
When Daisy -- a precocious young witch -- learns of the death of the Queen's Royal Witch, she flies to London to audition as her replacement. But Daisy is from a poor family, and they don't let just anyone into the Royal Court. The only way into the palace is to take a job as a cleaner.
As Daisy cleans the palace, she draws the attention of Elizabeth's doctor (and arch-heretic) John Dee, who places her into the auditions -- much to the chagrin of her more well-to-do competitors. But Dee knows how dangerous the corridors of power have become, with dark forces manipulating events for their own ends. To him, Daisy represents a wild card -- one that may decide the fate of many.
