We want to showcase your hard work & effort
The Lakeside Chautauqua Volunteer Corps members have been graciously volunteering their time and talents to help create the magical and memorable Chautauqua experience at Lakeside.

The 2022 summer season would not be possible without your support, and we greatly appreciate each and every volunteer. This summer, we want to highlight your hard work through a 'Volunteer Spotlight' section on our weekly e-newsletter!

Please send Shelby Brossia nominations for volunteers you know who go above and beyond to enhance Lakeside. Contact Shelby at (419) 798-4461, ext. 246 or development@lakesideohio.com. We're excited to showcase your hard work and love of Lakeside!
CURRENT VOLUNTEER SIGN-UPS
Art Show: Thank you to all those who signed up for shifts for the Art Show. We appreciate your time and commitment.

Several time slots still need filled. Volunteers are needed to work as sales associates during open hours. Training is provided for anyone interested in helping! Even if you aren't available now, please consider signing up for a shift later in the summer. Currently, volunteers are most needed on Sunday, July 17.

Storybook Trail: NEW this summer for families, a Storybook Trail will wind through Cherry Park. The trail, dedicated in memory of Joan Price of The Fine Print bookstore, encourages children to learn and read while exploring the outdoors.

Volunteers are needed on Fridays from 1-3 p.m. to install new stories and information in Cherry Park. If interested, please contact Bev Bartczak at (419) 573-2801.
Lakeside Daisy Garden Caretakers: The Lakeside Daisy Garden is in need of some caring hands to tend to it throughout the season. Join Lakesider Dottie McDowell to care for this special patch of flowers along the lakefront.

To volunteer, or for more information, please contact Dottie McDowell at (216) 219-8430.
Photography Show: The Lakeside Photography Show will take place in the Hoover Auditorium Lobby from July 26-August 27.

Volunteers are needed to work various shifts to act as sales associates: answering questions about the photos and then ringing customers up should they choose to purchase photos.

Meet our new Development Coordinator
Shelby Brossia has been working as the Development Coordinator since the beginning of May. In her new role, she works closely with the Volunteer Corps leadership staff and community to provide ample opportunities for Lakesiders to get involved in bettering Lakeside.

"In my previous roles, I have learned the irreplaceable value of volunteers," said Shelby. "Many times, tasks, projects and goals would not be accomplished without the assistance of volunteers. Volunteers bring a different kind of excitement, wisdom and energy to a team through their kindness and willingness to give back. I am very much looking forward to getting to know the Lakeside Chautauqua Volunteer Corps members!"
Don't forget your volunteer hours
This is a friendly reminder to all that have volunteered for any activity this year to record your volunteer hours and send them to Shelby at development@lakesideohio.com.

Tracking volunteer hours helps us apply for grants, quantify your impact and complete other tasks, so it's important to log every valuable minute!
Thank you again for your generous volunteerism! We're so thankful for committed, generous Lakesiders like you who invest your valuable time and effort into helping Lakeside be a beautiful and welcoming place. The Chautauqua experience would not be the same without you!

For more ways to support Lakeside, visit Lakeside’s How to Give page. You'll find information about donating online, mailing a check, giving a donation over the phone, using an employer's matching gift program or giving in honor or memory of a loved one.
