ALIA seeks new talent to add to its external defence counsel roster

The search is on to find the right people to bolster ALIA’s pool of defence counsel expertise. ALIA has launched a Request for Information (“RFI”) process with the aim of identifying those interested in providing case resolution and defence counsel services under the current Defence Counsel fee scale.

When a claim is made against a Subscriber, when appropriate ALIA will engage external defence counsel from a list of interested and qualified lawyers to defend or assist with resolving the claim while reporting to and receiving direction from internal claims counsel. ALIA and its Subscribers are fortunate to have outstanding external counsel on its roster to resolve or defend claims brought against Subscribers.

At this time, ALIA has identified a particular need for counsel with a background in family law and insurance coverage and encourages counsel with that expertise to participate; however, the RFI is open to all Alberta lawyers and firms.

If you would like to be considered for this opportunity, click below to read the full RFI and apply.
