Supporting Our Community

Trinity UCC Wadsworth Concert Series featuring Davis Badaszewski & Kelsey Berg on Sunday, May 7 at 4 p.m. Davis and Kelsey are organ performance students of Todd Wilson at the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM). Davis currently serves as Cantor of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Shaker Heights, and Kelsey serves as the Assistant Organist at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Akron. She also teaches secondary organ at CIM and Case Western Reserve University. Together, they have performed in multiple venues across the country.

Esther Ryan Shoe Fund’s annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser will be May 12 4-7PM at Prince of Peace (1263 Shannon Ave, Barberton). The Esther Ryan Shoe Fund has provided new school shoes for every disadvantaged school age child in Barberton for over 41 years.

The soup kitchen crew would like to thank all the people that made cookies for the soup kitchen: Ruth Hazeltine, Fran Royer, Val Cordray, Rose Little, Sandy Bee Lynn, Karen Foster, Nancy Lyons and Vaughn Daniels. The cookies are greatly appreciated by the people getting meals. We would also like to thank the Sunday School children and the Copley Girl Scouts for decorating the paper bags used at the Soup Kitchen. They bring a smile to the people who pick up the meals.

Jeff Kindel: Driver’s License. Andrew Karhoff: named one of Top 15 Summit Co. baseball prospects in Beacon Journal
