1. "Spring of Love" was a remarkable event organized by various churches of different denominations in Ho Chi Minh City. The event consisted of a two-night evangelism crusade in partnership with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Rev. Franklin Graham delivered a powerful message that touched the hearts of approximately 10,000 individuals, leading them to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior.
2. In the capital city of Vietnam, Hanoi, Christian Churches conducted an evangelical event on Easter Eve. More than 10,000 participants from different churches attended, and thousands of non-Christians embraced Christianity. Notably, representatives from various levels of the central government were present at both events.
3. The Christian Missionary and Alliance (CM&A) organized a training program at the Institute of Bible and Theology (IBT) in Ho Chi Minh City. This program, held from July 4 to July 28, focused on training approximately 2,500 pastor wives.
4. The Vietnamese Mission Center was established in Vieng Chan, Laos, marking the first overseas mission center built by the Vietnamese. The dedication ceremony for this center took place on October 10.
5. The 102nd Anniversary and the 20th rebuilding of the Institute of Bible and Theology (IBT) were commemorated on November 30 in Ho Chi Minh City. Additionally, a graduation ceremony for Master's Degree, B.Th., Diploma, and Women's class programs was held on the same day.
6. The Full Gospel Churches of Vietnam received official recognition from the Vietnamese government on December 27.
7. The Convention of Vietnamese Baptists (CVB) obtained official approval to establish the Vietnam Baptist Theological Seminary on December 27. This theological seminary was the first seminary of Baptist churches that was approved by the government.
8. CCI initiated 11 new classes across the country, welcoming 488 new students. Additionally, five classes successfully graduated, resulting in 101 CCI graduates.
