NEW: New Hires at the National Office
Justin Gragg has been hired as the NAIA's director of officiating initiatives. Justin has extensive officiating experience with the NAIA and the KCAC and Heart of America Conferences. He is currently a football official with the Mountain West Conference. Justin has spent the last ten years with Short's Travel Management, the NAIA's official travel partner.
Ty Dean has been named the new student-athlete education & development coordinator. Ty was a student-athlete at Southern Oregon University (SOU) where he earned both his bachelors and masters degrees. He most recently has served as an administrator and assistant basketball coach at SOU.

NEW: 50th Anniversary of Title IX - June Celebration
The NAIA is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Title IX this month. At the NAIA our goal is to make sure all members have a sense of belonging. NEW: Efrem Duran Named "Working Together" Award Winner
Efrem Duran has been with the NAIA for almost six years, supporting the entire organization by showcasing our success through his video productions. Efrem manages nearly all of the NAIA's video needs including selection shows, championship highlights, member testimonials, convention content, and the ASA and RISE initiatives.

Approximately 33% of sport programs within the NAIA offered JV competition during the 2020-21 academic year. What was the impact of those programs on an institution’s net return and retention? How do programs with JV programs compare to those without?

One-Stop-Shop Phone Line Exclusively for Members
In an effort to improve customer service for our members, the NAIA has revamped the membership phone line at (816) 595-8304. This will become a one-stop-shop phone line, exclusively for members, that allows callers to connect directly with three NAIA departments – the eligibility center, legislative services, and InCred. Existing phone lines for these departments will still be active for use. The new phone line will be active by June 1, 2022.
Non-member callers (i.e. parents, student-athletes) should use the following numbers to contact the eligibility center and InCred:

Champions of Character® Scorecard Available on NAIAHelp
Campus character liaisons can now log into naiahelp.org and begin entering data for submission of the AY2022 Champions of Character Scorecard. The Champions of Character Advisory Committee extended an institution’s ability to declare that the pandemic adversely impacted their ability to have off-campus service opportunities for another year. The deadline for Scorecard submission is June 15. Please contact Chesney Sallee with any questions.

NEW: New EC Phone Hours
Beginning Tuesday, July 5, the eligibility center customer relations phone hours will change to 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. central time. In addition to the overall phone hour adjustment, the student phone line will be off from 12:30 p.m. Central to 1 p.m. Central, Monday through Friday. The membership will still be able to contact the membership phone line during that time.
NEW: June Cancellations
Cancellations occurred today, June 1, for students with 2021-22 PlayNAIA applications who were not yet in line for review. We encourage reapplication as soon as possible for those students who seek to compete in fall 2022.
EC Closed for Training Hours
Due to seasonal staff training needs, the EC will be unavailable to answer calls at the following times:
- June 14, 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Central
- June 28, 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Central
Phones will be answered between 2-5 p.m. on those dates.

NEW: ECP Software Update
The NAIA's ECP software is currently being updated. Once completed, the certification process for the fall 2022 term will open. Legislative Services will notify members when the new process is available.
NEW: Outside Competitive Experience Form
The Outside Competitive Experience Form has been updated online to reflect the new legislation that went into effect May 1, 2022. The ECP updates will include the update to the Outside Competitive Experience form for certification.
