2023 is the year we work together to finish the neighborhood’s efforts to make Magnolia Village the best-looking, most welcoming, and communal business district in Seattle!

With your gift today, we will raise the $250,000 needed to complete Phases IV & V of the beautification efforts started and supported by our community since 2019.

Together, we have made vast improvements to Magnolia Village. We have made our wonderful neighborhood more community-friendly and safer while enhancing shopping and dining experiences. Now is the year to complete the final two phases of streetscape improvements.

What Your Donation Supports

Phase IV will include a new, pedestrian-friendly parklet along the Uptown Espresso building on 33rd Ave. W, between W. Lynn Street and W. McGraw Street. The parklet will feature new trees protected by porous pavement, decorative poles for cascading flower baskets and banners, benches, and tables with chairs with red umbrellas. In addition, the new parklet will increase curbside seating in the Village and further enhance the vibrant community spaces the Reimagine Magnolia Village project is creating.

Phase V will include streetscape improvements on 32nd Ave from W. Lynn Street to W. Smith Street. There will be a new conversation area with three benches in front of Mainspring Wealth Advisors, LLC, and decorative poles on both sides of 32nd Ave W. Several mature trees along 32nd from W. McGraw Street to W. Smith Street will be protected by porous pavement. And sidewalks will be replaced and made much safer by the city of Seattle and its “sidewalk fund.”

Make a Lasting, Loving Gift – Purchase a Memorial Bench

Phases IV & V offer excellent opportunities for donors to purchase new benches. A memorial bench in Magnolia Village is a thoughtful and meaningful way to pay tribute to relatives, friends, loved ones, and those who contribute to the betterment of the community. Each new bench comes with a bronze plaque containing your message. The following are locations of memorial benches that you can purchase:

  • One two-foot chair/bench will be in front of the Mainspring Wealth Advisors, LLC, office along 32nd Avenue W.
  • One four-foot bench will be in front of the Starbucks office building along 33rd Avenue W.
  • One five-foot bench will be in front of the Magnolia Garden Center Gift Shop along 32nd Avenue W.
  • Three five-foot benches in the new parklet along 33rd Avenue W. on the west side of Uptown Espresso.

Please get in touch with Cheryl McQuiston, Chairperson of the Reimagine Magnolia Village Project, at cheryl.aaml@gmail.com to learn more about prices and purchase a memorial bench today – a forever gift.
