20th Annual Hike for Hospice

Held the first Sunday of every May, Hike for Hospice is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year in support of our important programs and services.

This event will give you the opportunity to walk or run 1, 3, or 5 km and raise funds in support of Peace Arch Hospice Society as an individual participant or on a team. Hike for Hospice is fun for the whole family, including your dog(s)!

Hospice Palliative Care Week & Hospice Month

May is Hospice Month, and May 7 to 13, 2023 marks Hospice Palliative Care Week. These special milestones celebrate and share the achievements of hospice palliative care throughout the nation.

At the heart of hospice palliative care lies the belief that every person deserves a vibrant and beautiful life, from beginning to end.

If you are facing a life-limiting illness and it feels like your world faded to shades of grey, hospice palliative care brings colour, peace, and joy back to your life in the ways that matter most to you and to your family.

About Peace Arch Hospice Society

Peace Arch Hospice Society is a volunteer-based non-profit organization that is dedicated to supporting all who are facing the end-of-life journey and those who are grieving. Our professional grief and palliative support programs and services are free of charge to residents of South Surrey and White Rock. We also dedicate time to educating the community on dying and grieving.

Our team of specially trained volunteers are compassionate, non-judgemental, and knowledgeable. They make themselves available to sit bedside and provide companionship to those at the end of life and to their loved ones. We also provide counselling sessions with a Registered Clinical Counsellor, Children’s Grief Support Camps, Grief Groups, Mindfulness Meditation, Relaxation Sessions, and more at our Supportive Care Centre.
