President's Message: End of Semester
Dear Colleagues,

We have much to celebrate as we approach the conclusion of another successful semester on our Hill. You should be proud of your achievements this term; your work continues to advance our students and our institution and makes all of us proud.

I want to thank you for your efforts to support our Hilltoppers during their WKU journey. As they complete their final exams this week, our students may experience heightened anxiety and a range of emotions. Please continue to engage with them, as you always do, and help them access any resources they may need to finish the semester strong.

Friday, we gather in Diddle Arena for WKU’s Fall College Recognition Ceremonies. I hope that you plan to join me as we celebrate our graduates and witness their transition from WKU students to WKU alumni. You can find more information about Friday’s schedule of events here.

Senior found support, applied learning opportunities at WKU
Senior Elementary Education major Haylee Koger didn’t start her college journey on the Hill, but fell in love with campus after a sudden change in plans. After her father was diagnosed with cancer, Koger wanted to be closer to her family in Bardstown and transferred to WKU in the second semester of her freshman year. Over the next few years, she discovered a strong network of individuals to support her while she supported her family and pursued a degree. "I wanted a school that would offer me fresh opportunities, a place that was brand new but would quickly feel like home. I took one visit to WKU, walked around campus, and knew it was the place for me," Koger said.
